Tithing : Daddy Freeze reacts to Pastor Adeboye’s apology
Popular On-Air Personality (OAP), Daddy Freeze has appreciated the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, for apologising over his ‘wrong’ message on tithing.
Pastor Adeboye, while delivering a message at the ongoing annual national youth convention of the church going on at the RCCG Redemption City on Thursday, said: “I am going to be talking to everybody as soon as God permits me, I am going to apologise for making a mistake for saying that if you don’t pay tithe, you will not be making it to heaven. That is wrong.
That is not in the Bible. What the Bible says is to make peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see God. What the Bible says is, to follow peace with all men and holiness without which no man will make heaven.
It is possible to be right and wrong at the same time. I will prove it to you. For years, we taught that light travels in a straight line. Later we say it travels in waves.”
Reacting amid the flurry of reactions the apology has garnered, Daddy Freeze took to his Instagram account to appreciate the General Overseer for his courage to apologise publicly.

Freeze said, “I appreciate and applaud Pastor E.A Adeboye, the General Overseer of RCCG, for his apology on tithing, Daddy, I appreciate the fact that you are courageous enough to agree that you made a mistake, you said that it is wrong you said that if you don;t pay your tithe, you will not make heaven, I appreciate you Daddy.”
He also apologised if his words seven years ago when he criticised Adeboye’s message on tithing were harsh.
“I also want to use this as a medium to apologise to you if my words seven years ago were very harsh, please don’t be offended.”
