Governor removes SUBEB chairman

Peter Mbah, the governor of Enugu, has sacked Gabriel Ajah as the chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

Aka Eze Aka, the state commissioner for information and communication, said Ajah’s removal followed a “minor reshuffle” in the board carried out by the governor.

The commissioner spoke to NAN in Enugu on Monday.

He said Hyginus Bankho, a SUBEB official who was before now “member two” of the board, will take over with immediate effect.

The commissioner said Amaka Ngene, who was “member one” of the board, has been moved to the science, technical, and vocational schools’ management board (STVSMB) as the chairman.
