Nigerian Police Set To Arraign Ex-NIRSAL Managing Director, Others For Alleged Forgery
The arraignment earlier fixed for Wednesday, could not proceed, due to so many cases before the judge and had to fix it for March 13.
The Nigeria Police Force will arraign former managing director, Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL Plc), Aliyu Abdulhameed before a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on allegations bordering on document forgery.
Abdulhameed, according to a News Agency of Nigeria report, will be arraigned on March 13, 2024 before Justice Inyang Ekwo.

The former MD NIRSAL will be arraigned alongside Babangida Abdullahi, the 2nd defendant in the 10-count charge marked:
In suit No. FHC/ABJ/CR/555/2023, filed on November 28, 2023, the police will be arraigning the MD NIRSAL with Babangida Abdullahi, as 1st and 2nd defendant in a 10-count charge.
In the charge signed by CSP Celestine Odo, Legal/Prosecution Section of the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, the defendants, and others now at large, were alleged to have, about October 23, 2023, conspired among themselves to commit an offence of forgery.
In count two, the defendants, and others now at large, sometime in October 23, 2023, were alleged to have conspired among themselves to commit an offence.
The offences are said to be contrary to Section 3(6) and punishable under Section 1(2){c} of the Miscellaneous Offences Act, Cap. M17, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2010.
