Further to sustained efforts towards its gender-inclusive initiatives, the Honorable Minister of Women Affairs Barr Uju Kennedy Ohanenye received a delegation from the Northern House of Representatives Wives Association ably led by their President Mrs. Yusra Kabir Idris in her office.

The thrust of the meeting was to scale up strategies towards repositioning the socio-economic status of Nigerian Women and the Vulnerable in Northern Nigeria.

During the visit, the Minister harped on the need for more women to brace up and contribute their quota to national growth as the present dispensation has provided an all-inclusive level playing ground for all Nigerians in line with its renewed hope policy.

Issues bordering on sustainable empowerment, skill acquisition, and the creation of women’s Cooperative to be unbundled on the Ministry’s E-portal for seamless business ventures that could have a direct impact on them positively were also discussed.

Responding, the leader of the delegation gave assurances that the group to align with the Ministry’s plans to improve the welfare and well-being of women in the Northern part of the country
