APC Grassroots Mobilization Movement Restructures Leadership, Charts New Direction Ahead of 2027 Elections
Abuja, Nigeria — December 1, 2025
The Grassroots Mobilization for APC PBAT Nationwide has unveiled major structural decisions, leadership adjustments, and strategic resolutions aimed at strengthening its nationwide presence ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle. These decisions emerged from its Board of Trustees (BOT) meeting held on December 1, 2025, in Abuja.
The meeting opened at exactly 12:00 PM with a prayer led by Dr. Abdul Yahaya, followed by introductions and brief remarks from the BOT Member representing Ondo State, Mr. Ayobami Oguntayo, who apologized for his absence from previous meetings, attributing it to extended travel outside Abuja.
In his opening address, the National Coordinator, Alhaji Mohammed Lawal Rabana, emphasized the urgent need to consolidate credibility, reinforce organizational structures, and deepen the movement’s presence across grassroots communities in all APC-controlled and target states. He charged members to remain committed to advancing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 political agenda.
Rabana reiterated that members of the Board of Trustees must be card-carrying APC members and clarified that no BOT member is permitted to hold an executive position within the movement. He also confirmed the redeployment of the former National Secretary, Mr. Offor Williams, stressing the need to replace him with a candidate from the same geopolitical zone.
The movement commended Engineer Adeola Anthony for his continuous support, including the donation of vital office stationeries to the National Secretariat. Shortly after, the BOT ratified key structural adjustments, including the exchange of roles between the National Secretary and the National Organizing Secretary. Consequently, Mr. Eric Adile Iroajugh was appointed the new National Secretary, while Mr. Offor Williams assumed responsibilities as the National Organizing Secretary.
Other key resolutions unanimously adopted at the meeting include:
1. The BOT requested an update on the South East inauguration scheduled to hold on December 5, 2025, in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, with full sponsorship from the State Government.
2. BOT advice and decisions shall stand as final and cannot be overruled by any individual.
3. The BOT will determine the status, role, and continued membership of all individuals, including Patrons.
4. A combined review meeting of the BOT and National Exco will follow every zonal and state-level inauguration and major events.
5. All monetary contributions and financial materials must be remitted directly into the organization’s account.
6. All official letters and correspondences must originate from the National Secretariat.
7. In compliance with APC Support Group directives, all BOT members must maintain valid APC membership cards.
In a decisive move to strengthen leadership efficiency, the BOT unanimously endorsed Engineer Adeola Anthony as Acting Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The decision followed concerns regarding the commitment and performance of the former BOT Chairman, Dr. Musa Aliyu.
The new BOT Chairman pledged unwavering dedication and support for the movement’s activities toward the re-election of President Tinubu. Other BOT members also pledged to reinforce the organization’s impact at the grassroots level.
In closing, the National Coordinator and the new BOT Chairman expressed appreciation to all participating BOT members for their steadfast commitment to advancing the movement’s objectives and driving President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda across Nigerian communities.
