4+4 Movement Leadership Meets Abuja Yoruba Obas, Strengthens Alliance for National Progress
The National Leadership of the 4+4 Movement for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has held a strategic engagement with Yoruba traditional rulers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. The meeting, which took place at the National Secretariat of the Movement, marked an important step in consolidating grassroots support and strengthening cultural cooperation in the nation’s seat of power.
Hosted by the Director General of the Movement, Alhaji Abiodun Aremu Shobowale, alongside the National Publicity Coordinator, Aare Hon. Talabi Abiodun, the event brought together prominent Yoruba Obas in Abuja for high-level discussions on national development, unity, and the progressive agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The traditional rulers were led by His Royal Majesty, Oba Musbau Owolabi, accompanied by representatives of Yoruba Obas from the six Area Councils of the Federal Capital Territory. Their participation underscored the importance of traditional institutions in fostering stability, peace, and inclusive governance.
In his welcome address, the DG, Alhaji Shobowale, expressed deep appreciation for the presence of the monarchs and emphasized the critical role the 4+4 Movement plays in mobilizing nationwide support for the success of the Tinubu administration. He noted that the visit further strengthens the bridge between the government, grassroots communities, and cultural leadership across the country.
National Publicity Coordinator, Aare Hon. Talabi Abiodun, highlighted the significance of aligning the Movement’s objectives with the wisdom and influence of traditional rulers, stating that the Yoruba Obas remain vital custodians of heritage, peace, and communal harmony. He pledged the Movement’s commitment to continued collaboration with the traditional institution.
Responding on behalf of the delegation, Oba Musbau Owolabi commended the 4+4 Movement for its sustained efforts in promoting unity and supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu. He assured the Movement of the unwavering support of Yoruba Obas in the FCT, reaffirming their readiness to work hand-in-hand with all stakeholders for peace, progress, and socio-political stability.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to synergy, mutual respect, and active collaboration towards building a stronger network of support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu across all communities in the FCT.
