Ghana Police Arrest Nigerian Man Linked To K!lling Of FRSC Officer, Daughter
Victor’s call records. According to the Osun State Police kidnapping unit, “Mr. Victor was found to have frequently made calls to one suspected herbalist’s phone number through phone tracking in Iwoye Ijesa, Osun State.”
Police then sent an undercover officer posing as a client to the herbalist’s home. However, the suspect received a tip-off and fled. A subsequent phone trace led officers to Ijebu-Ijesha, where the herbalist was eventually identified during a chance street encounter after a police vehicle broke down.
The herbalist attempted to escape into the bush but was arrested after an hour-long chase.
Confessions and Further Arrests
During interrogation, the herbalist reportedly admitted he and others were involved in killing Mrs. Lasisi but claimed he was not present when the daughter was taken away. He then provided the police with the location of another herbalist believed to have taken part in the crime.
Officers traced the second suspect to Ekiti State, where he was arrested. Both men later led police to a bush path where the remains of the child were recovered.
The Osun State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Gotan, confirmed the developments during a meeting with the FRSC Sector Commander, CC Leye Adegboyega, and the FRSC Sector Intelligence Officer.
According to the briefing, “the herbalist confirmed that SRC OO Lasisi and Mr. Victor had visited him for consultation. He claimed that Mr. Victor and his friends killed SRC OO Lasisi and dismembered her body.”
The dismembered body of the FRSC officer was recovered in a sack found in a river, “without her head,” and deposited at the Osun State Teaching Hospital on November 17.

The FRSC leadership has expressed shock over the killing. The Sector Commander said DNA and autopsy procedures would follow once all suspects, including Victor, were secured. He emphasised that these steps are vital for “considerable proof because of the dismembered body.”
Police authorities in Osun State say their priority is ensuring all individuals connected to the case face the law.
“The police are working to arrest Mr. Victor and his accomplices,” the OC Kidnapping unit stated. “Investigations are ongoing to bring the perpetrators to justice.”
