Ayo Fayose: “My Body Should Be Handed Over to Ekiti State Government and Buried Within Four Weeks”
Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has shared his post-mortem wishes in a six-minute video released by City Edge TV on Saturday. The 65-year-old elder statesman stated that upon his death, his remains should be handed over to the Ekiti State government and must be buried within four weeks.
Fayose explained that the four-week window would allow the state to make proper arrangements for his burial. He further instructed that his children should wear their own clothes—rather than any special attire—and comply with directives issued by the state government at that time.
He also made clear where he wishes to be laid to rest: the garden at his grandmother’s home. According to him, the place should remain undisturbed afterwards.
“After my departure, nobody must come there again,” Fayose said, emphasizing that anyone who wishes to express love or goodwill should do so while he is still alive.
