Omoyoloye Kunle Nelson, FNAEGE, COMEG, and Managing Director of EMINAD Nigeria Limited, has applauded the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the progress of projects under the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC).

Speaking on behalf of consultants and contractors working with OSOPADEC, Nelson commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for fostering transparency, accountability, and good governance, which have created an enabling environment for effective service delivery. He noted that the Governor’s interventions and timely support have strengthened the Commission and rekindled trust and hope among the oil-producing communities.

Nelson emphasized that OSOPADEC contractors and consultants remain resolute in delivering high-quality projects that align with the Governor’s vision of sustainable development and grassroots empowerment. He assured that under his representation, contractors would continue to work diligently towards the full realization of the Governor’s transformative goals.

“On behalf of all contractors and consultants working with OSOPADEC, I sincerely appreciate His Excellency Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his unwavering support and encouragement. We pledge our continued dedication to excellence and partnership towards the growth and progress of Ondo State,” Nelson stated.

Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of OSOPADEC, Prince Olabiyi Olaleye Poroye, has vowed to put an end to the era of abandoned projects across the Commission’s mandate areas.

Speaking at a high-level meeting with contractors at the Commission’s Corporate Headquarters in Oba-Ile, Akure North, Poroye declared that the Commission was entering a new era of accountability and efficiency. “OSOPADEC will be 25 years old next year, yet the achievements of the Commission do not match its age. That must change,” he said.

He stressed that systemic reforms and fresh strategies were being introduced to energize ongoing and future projects, adding that the bottlenecks around contractors’ payments—one of the major causes of project delays—had been resolved.

“Money for the contractors will not be a problem,” Poroye assured. “Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has reaffirmed his commitment to timely release of funds to ensure speedy and quality delivery of projects across the oil-producing areas.”

The meeting, attended by the Executive Directors of Projects and Finance, Non-Executive Board Members, and senior management staff, provided a platform to review ongoing projects and chart a new course for transparency and efficiency. Poroye emphasized that every project initiated under his leadership must be completed, functional, and beneficial to the people of the mandate areas.

Contractors at the gathering hailed both Governor Aiyedatiwa’s consistent support and Poroye’s decisive leadership, describing the engagement as a “breath of fresh air” that signals renewed partnership and a promising future for OSOPADEC.

Together, Nelson’s commendation and Poroye’s assurances underscore a shared determination to transform the oil-producing areas of Ondo State and ensure that no project is left abandoned.
