Himma Youth Farmers Association Set for Flag-Off
The Himma Youth Farmers Association of Nigeria is set to hold its official flag-off ceremony, marking the beginning of a new era of agricultural development, youth empowerment, and food security initiatives in the country.
Speaking ahead of the historic event, the President of the association, Ahmed Yusuf, emphasized that the vision of the group is to mobilize and empower Nigerian youths through mechanized and modern farming practices. He noted that the association will serve as a platform to promote agriculture as a sustainable source of wealth creation and job opportunities for young people across the nation.
The Vice President, Engr. Adeola Anthony, also highlighted the importance of the association in addressing unemployment and supporting government policies on food security. He explained that the group will not only encourage youth participation in agriculture but also provide them with technical knowledge, access to improved seedlings, and mentorship required to thrive.
A special highlight of the event is the role of the Etsu Nupe, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar (Baga Dozhi), who serves as the National Patron of the Himma Youth Farmers Association of Nigeria. His Royal Highness is expected to grace the occasion alongside other traditional leaders, stakeholders in the agricultural sector, and government representatives.
The National Patron, Etsu Nupe, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar (Baga Dozhi), has pledged his full support for the association, promising to contribute in every possible way—financially, morally, and spiritually—at all times.
The Chief of Staff to the association also reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the success of the initiative, stressing that the flag-off will symbolize unity, progress, and renewed hope for Nigerian youths willing to embrace agriculture.
The Himma Youth Farmers Association aims to position itself as a driving force in agricultural transformation, with a mission to contribute to food sufficiency, economic growth, and rural development in line with Nigeria’s agricultural revolution agenda.
