11 REASONS WHY WE NEED SENATOR UMAR TANKO AL-MAKURA AS APC NATIONAL CHAIRMAN:

1. Senator Umar Tanko Al-makura Has Experience
a. He has Legislative Experience
Almakura was a member of the Constituent Assembly in 1988 representing Lafia /Obi where he played a major role in the drafting of the constitution that led to the 1993 elections.
b. He has Administrative Experience as a Two Term Governor.
Almakura was sworned-in as Governor of Nasarawa state on the 29th May, 2011 and was given a second term on the 29th May 2015 bringing a leadership style that has been anchored on the sacred principles of honesty, transparency, prudence, accountability inclusivity and above all, the fear of God and these has lifted Nasarawa State far greater than imagined, earning him the name: “Architect of Nasarawa State”.

2. His Ability to Create Policies That Matter to the People
Since assumption into office as Governor, Almakura has put policies and bills that have positively impacted and affected the ordinary citizens such as Disability Rights Commission, Nasarawa State Agency for Youth Empowerment Scheme (NAYES) , Child Rights Bill, Nasarawa State Electricity Power Agency (NAEPA), Nasarawa Geographic Information Service (NAGIS) Bill, Anti-Stigmatization Law, Nasarawa State Local Government Election Law 2018, Nasarawa Free Education programme, Nasarawa State Creation of Additional Chiefdoms Amendment Law 2013, Nasarawa State Wildlife Park and Zoo Law 2013, Free Education For Disabled, Nasarawa state Appropriation Bills (2012- 2019), Nasarawa State Local Government Amendment Law ( which proclaimed Umaisha and Daddare as Development Areas in Nasarawa State.) etc.
Almakura was also able to survive nine (9) impeachment attempts in his first 3 years in office.

3. His Vast Network Of Connections
Umaru Tanko Almakura has been a very influential businessman and a strong power broker in Nasarawa State and Nigeria, since 2010 he has made hundreds of political connections and allies with Governors, Senators, Ambassadors, National and International connections with world leaders in all works of life that would be of great benefit to Nasarawa State and Nasarawa South Senatorial Zone.
The purposeful leader gave the country and humanity the most of his experience and pedigree and Nigerians especially the good people of Nasarawa state can attest to this undisputable fact.

4. A Loud Voice of Reason.
Almakura since coming to power has been a loud voice of reason and has never backed away from issues that would positively impact the people. He speaks out on disability, National and state issues, especially his overwhelming support for the Presidency, the fight against corruption, selflessness, inclusiveness, and most of all Government wastefulness.

5. For the Development of Nasarawa South.
Almakura has shown that development is possible in the midst of scarce resources, and we are confident with the federal funding given to him to carry out constituency projects, like the popular slogan goes “Seeing is Believing” Nasarawa people across the 13 LGA and 18 Development Areas are witness to the fact that Amakura has done beyond measure and has earned the peoples trust. A man that has recorded tremendous achievements in the area of infrastructure, health, education, agriculture, basic social amenities for the people among many others especially projects with a direct impact on the lives of all and sundry regardless of class or social status in the state. As a very good manger of resources and achiever, we are confident that the about 200 Million per quarter that will be due for Nasarawa south for constituency projects would be adequately utilized by Almakura. Nasarawa south shall witness better representation at the RED CHAMBER of the National Assembly like never before.

6. Time for More Purposeful Representation
A change in the representation of the zone would turn around the fate of the zone and its people. For 12 years the same person has been there as the Senator and maybe suffering from a drought of ideas, advice and foresight to move the zone forward, not wanting to leave the seat for the benefits enjoyed as the people suffer!
The three terms Senator representing Nasarawa South in the senate for the past 12 years will attempt to go for a fourth term, trying to stay in the Red Chamber for almost two decades when he has nothing left to offer to the people. Even though it is not his birthright, but an opportunity to serve the people as a Senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria a task which has eluded him and is too much for him to truly comprehend

7. His Ability to Put the People First
Almakura has shown that the people come first and that the benefits and advantages of all that is to be done should be felt by the majority of the people, the masses, the most common of people and the vulnerable. He has been running an administration that is guided by the rule of law, transparency, inclusivity and the fear of God. Almakura has shown that public funds should not be looted but spent on items and projects that would impact the general public and not a select few. His desire to inspect and ensure the people get value for their money would be something the zone craves for.

8. The Reward Of Hard Work Is APC National Chairman.
There is a need for the people to reward deserving leaders who have done well by being committed to developmental initiatives and ideas while ensuring that their time in office is properly utilized. We teach our children that doing good is its own reward, but what is the real reward for selfless service and dedication to the people? If not more hard work and confidence from the people.

9. His Ability to Attract Federal Projects and Employment
Almakura would attract Federal projects and employment opportunities to Nasarawa South which he has been doing for over 7 years, the creation of Federal offices which would impact the people and the zone positively.

10. Almakura Has Proven Himself and Made the Zone Proud.
As a true son of Nasarawa South Umaru Tanko Almakura has performed wonderfully well in his two terms as Governor and has successfully carried out the earlier given mandate. He should be given the chance to provide representation for Nasarawa South, with the hope he will do even better for Nasarawa South Senatorial Zone. As a Governor he did the zone proud as he brought development to the zone, and as a Senator he will surely do even better!

11. To Assist President Buhari and President Tinubu with another Ally in the APC National Chairmanship
As a true disciple of the change mantra that has been the philosophy of good leadership since the days of CPC, Almakura would surely be a valuable ally to the President which would be very advantageous to the APC, Nasarawa State and Nasarawa South. As the political laboratory of the Mr. President, we need to send our best and most committed to represent us at the highest level of politics in Nigeria.
